About Shawna

Shawna Ruiz is an assurance partner at Marcum, where she contributes to audit, review, and compilation engagements. She leads the design and management of attestation work carried out on behalf of manufacturing and distribution clients, particularly clients with both domestic and international operations. In addition to financial statement audits, Shawna regularly plays a key role in employee benefit plan audits. Working closely with Firm colleagues and client representatives, Shawna is often responsible for communicating audit findings and implementing procedures that improve productivity and more effectively manage risk.

Prior to joining Marcum, Shawna worked at two regional accounting firms where she supported various audit and attest functions.
