About Ciro

Ciro Buttacavoli is an assurance services partner and a member of Marcum’s national engagement quality review (EQR) group. Ciro has more than 40 years of public accounting experience and has provided accounting, auditing, and advisory services to a variety of publicly traded and closely held domestic and international companies. Ciro is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Prior to joining Marcum, he served in the national professional standards group for a top tier public accounting firm where he also served as an audit partner and engagement quality reviewer. Ciro also performed cross-border reviews of member firm audits.

He has worked with clients that range in size from privately held startups to large public companies, serving as the lead or quality review partner on annual financial statement and internal control audits.

Throughout his career, Ciro has served clients in connection with initial and secondary public and private securities offerings, recapitalization transactions, and reverse mergers involving SPACs, traditional merger and acquisition transactions from the buy and sell sides, and has consulted on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.

Ciro is a frequent presenter and is engaged in training as well as contributing to technical content.
